I Wonder. I always wonder if you ever sit there and actually think about all the things you’ve put me through? The way I do for you. I wonder if you ever have the same “fuck I wish we’d just work this out” moments like I do. I wonder if you ever stop dead in your tracks because a memory of us replays in your mind unexpectedly, yet so vividly like it was just yesterday. I wonder.. But I never wish you’d do all of this for one simple reason: I’d never want you to hurt the way I did. It feels like a kick in the heart when those thoughts flood my mind and I’d never want that to happen to you because you’re the very reason why I was so happy before it all. I’d never want you to experience the moments I had and sometimes still have because I never wanna see you sad. I’d rather take the hit for you. Unfair? I guess you can say that. But in the end, all I ever wanted was for you to be happy. Regardless if it made me happy or not on the other hand. Just seeing you happy always kept me content. But I never stop wondering about what you wonder too.
We aren’t the girls who get 42 ‘likes’ on our Facebook pictures, we aren’t the girls that act dumb to get the guys, or that wear shorts with our asses hanging out. We care more about music than popularity. We are the girls who have laughing fits without worrying if are faces look weird, we are the girls who genuinely care about how you are, we are the girls who don’t make a big deal of what you said 2 years ago, we’re the girls who care more about being nice that who thinks that we’re ‘hot’, we are the girls who can be quiet and often overlooked, but I guarantee we are the girls you’d rather be friends with.

You know that feeling? When you’re just waiting. Waiting to get home, into your room, close the door, fall into bed, and just let everything out that you kept in all day. That feeling of both relief and desperation. Nothing is wrong. But nothing is right either. And you’re tired. Tired of everything, tired of nothing. And you just want someone to be there and tell you it’s okay. But no one’s going to be there. And you know you have to be strong for yourself, because no one can fix you. But you’re tired of waiting. Tired of having to be the one to fix yourself and everyone else. Tired of being strong. And for once, you just want it to be easy. To be simple. To be helped. To be saved. But you know you won’t be. But you’re still hoping. And you’re still wishing. And you’re still staying strong and fighting, with tears in your eyes. You’re fighting.
